Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR): Reduce Stress, Enhance Focus

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a simple and proven way to reduce stress by paying attention to the present moment. It involves easy-to-learn practices that anyone can do, no matter their age or experience. MBSR is an 8-week program that teaches mindfulness meditation as a way to deal with stress, pain, and illness. The program was created by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in the late 1970s. The seven foundational attitudes for stress reduction which are important in the practice of mindfulness are: Letting go, Non-judgment, Patience, Trust, and Non-striving.
